October is Canadian Library Month

Updated 2014/10/27

Welcome to autumn! We’re looking forward to hot chocolates, warm sweaters, Thanksgiving and Halloween this month, but for libraries, October has some added meaning. It’s Canadian Library Month!

All month long in the library you can…

  • Buy library and reading-themed buttons (by donation) and vote to determine where the money from the button sales will go.
  • Attend all of our great regular programs such as Lego Club, Storytimes, Book Club etc.

And as a special treat, we’re welcoming Jay Sherwood, BC author and historian for a presentation and book signing. His latest book is “Surveying Southern British Columbia: a Photojounal of Frank Swannell.” He has previously done extensive research and published books about Northern BC as well.

Come relax, warm up with tea and coffee, and listen to a fascinating presentation (with lots of photos!)
