Cognitive Care Kits
Cognitive Care Kits help support the skills and abilities of people living with dementia and other forms of cognitive impairment. Each kit contains dementia-friendly activities such as games, workbooks, puzzles, and various prepared activities. The kits focus on the mind (cognitive), body (active), and spirit (creative), and were developed using the DementiAbility Montessori principles, proven to effectively engage with individuals living with dementia and their caregivers.

We have dozens of modern and classic board games. From easy and silly like Happy Salmon to classic and kid-friendly like Connect 4 to complex and challenging like Catan, we have a game for everybody!

Heating Pads
Far infrared heating pads for pain relief.

Puzzles
From 50 pieces to 500+ pieces, we have a large selection of puzzles for you to enjoy for free.

Recreation Equipment
Thanks to a generous donation from CN, we have an ever-growing collection of recreation equipment to loan out! As well, we have a large collection of skis and snowshoes that were donated to the Library by the local schools and the Recreation Centre! We loan out everything from basketballs to croquet.

Adult ski rentals cost $10 per loan period. Please pay at the Recreation Center front counter before loaning from the Library.
SAD lamps
SAD lamps simulate sunlight, which helps trigger the brain to release serotonin, often called the feel-good hormone. Studies show that using light therapy during periods when daylight hours are short can help adjust your circadian rhythm, the body’s process for regulating your sleep-wake cycle.

Storytime Kits
Storytime kits help you bring storytime home. Each kit has books and a puzzle, finger puppets, or flannel boards on a theme. All you need is a few songs and you’re ready to go!
